Updates

Hey everyone. Reed and I just got back last night from a lovely event in Philly. We were lucky enough to work again at the amazing University of Pennsylvania Museum. It is an amazing venue and the Chinese Rotunda is always a wonderful showcase to compliment all of the floral design.

Have a look at the photos and let us know what you think!

well....the florist finally got engaged. yes she did. and to be honest, after being single all of my life with so many amazing vendor resources at my fingertips,i simply do not know where to begin to plan a wedding for myself. this has been a lifelong question i get from clients, friends, family.....and now it is here. stay tuned. there will be many surprises.

in addition to the business growing quietly, studio M floral has embarked upon a catering menu as well. i have been a vegetarian since i was 12, something close to my heart. i love animals and feel that they have value beyond an assembly line. i do not feel that purchasing genetically modified meats, cheeses, poultry, pork, or other corn based products is assisting our planet or ourselves in any way. i remember being a young child questioning the science behind our food. and now it has sadly come to fruition in this lifetime we have. such a shame.

that said, being italian, french, lithuanian, and dutch, i have learned to appreciate the best things in life.....food and flowers. i perfected my flowers in high school, college, and early career. i also have taken up in the past 5 years cooking as a hobby. to begin, as a young child, my great-grandparents taught me how to cook pierogi, kielbase, nut roll, pasta dough. it was such an experience and as they passed on, i was lucky enough to assemble all of the cookbooks from my childhood. that changed my life dramatically from the greed of a high salary and ridiculous and unnecessary pressure to relax, and began serving in restaurants who are known for quality and began to learn about sustainable foods. we have so many local resources that our own communities are not even made aware of, its unbelievable! so as a result, i have begun a "from scratch" kitchen. i make 3-4 soups per week, homemade sauces and pasta, gourmet grilled cheeses, homemade horseradish, ethnic food nights, and everything comes from local sources. its a new passion to compliment my desire for flowers and great design. and i share all of my food with my community....as long as they bring containers. we love to recycle in the borough.

still a vegetarian, my soon to be husband is a carnivore and i am also able to find foods that i feel comfortable cooking for him and still have a passion without being upset about the beloved animals.

please stay tuned for catering menus that can accompany your floral proposal. all done by yours truly.....

also news....i was elected to be a committee representative for the borough of yardley EAC (environmental advisory commission)as well as the shade tree committee. please feel free to reach out if you are a borough resident and care to voice your opinions.

until next time.....
